Foreign Buyer Process — Buying a Unit at Causewayz Square
Buying a unit as a foreigner follows a defined sequence: viewing, booking, SPA, financing, state consent, stamp duty and handover. This page lists the steps and what to confirm at each stage.
Step by step
1. Viewing & price list
Visit the sales gallery, confirm the current price list, availability and rebates with the marketing partner.
2. Booking
Pay a booking fee to reserve a unit. Confirm refund/forfeiture terms before paying.
3. Lawyer & SPA
Appoint a lawyer and sign the Sale & Purchase Agreement (SPA). Confirm the lawyer is independent of the developer.
4. Loan application
Apply for financing (if needed). Foreigner LTV and terms vary by institution.
5. State authority consent
For foreign buyers, state consent is required. Timeline varies — your lawyer handles the application.
6. Stamp duty & payments
Pay stamp duty and progress payments per the SPA schedule. See additional-costs page.
7. Handover
Upon completion and vacant possession, inspect the unit against the SPA specification.
Timeline factors
- State consent can take additional weeks/months — build this into your plan.
- Loan approval timelines vary by institution.
- Progress payments follow the SPA schedule, not the marketing timeline.
